Lazzari Officine Meccaniche joins the Castellini Group

A new synergy for the steel industry is underway.

In the Italian manufacturing sector, which has always been recognized for its excellence but is often characterized by small businesses, there is a growing need to create industrial synergies capable of meeting the challenges of an increasingly competitive global market. This is the context for the new strategic operation by the Castellini Group, which announces the entry of Lazzari Officine Meccaniche Impianti Industriali S.p.A., a historic company based in Ponte San Pietro (Bergamo), specializing in the design and manufacture of machinery for the steel industry and industrial sawing machines.

The acquisition represents a fundamental step in the growth and industrial consolidation of Castellini S.p.A. Società Benefit, a company that in recent years has distinguished itself for its strategic vision and ability to integrate skills. Following the acquisitions of LLS Titanium S.r.l. and Carbon-Ti S.r.l., the entry of Lazzari further expands the group’s technological offering, bringing specific expertise in the tube manufacturing sector and strengthening its presence in the flat product rolling sector.

“Lazzari represents excellence with which we share values, corporate culture, and attention to people. By joining forces, we want to give continuity to the value built up over the years and create new synergies capable of generating innovation and development,” said Fiorenzo Castellini, CEO of Castellini S.p.A.

Founded in 1951, Lazzari S.p.A. boasts over 70 years of history and internationally recognized know-how in the manufacture of customized systems and machines for cutting and finishing pipes. Despite joining the group, it will maintain its operational autonomy, leveraging the technical expertise and human resources already present at the Bergamo plant.

The integration with Castellini will enable the company to expand its range of products and services, enhance after-sales support, and optimize production processes thanks to industrial and commercial synergies. A research and development (R&D) investment plan will also support the shared innovation capacity of the two companies.

With a 2024 turnover of €35.96 million and a three-year CAGR of +14.9%, Castellini confirms its sustained growth trajectory and solid industrial vision. The operation marks a new step towards the construction of a structured group, rooted in the Lombardy region but projected onto global markets, founded on values of sustainability, innovation, and collaboration.
